Folk Band

The Folk Band welcomes players from Years 3-6 of all instruments and abilities. We regularly perform at School functions and also occasionally further afield at EDDC sponsored school activities such as the Christmas Music Festival at Exeter Cathedral. Co-Ordinated by Mrs. Powell and led by Mr. Weber, pupils have the opportunity to perform in a group setting and try out new instruments. Members of the Folk Band will receive basic instructions and guidance during the rehearsal sessions, but are expected to practice their music on their own outside of school time. This will greatly increase the quality of time spent together as a group and enhance the enjoyment of playing music with each other. There are some instruments available at the school, but most players should have their own instruments to practice on.

The Folk Band meets in the Community Room on
Wednesdays from 12:30-1:15
