Teacher Training Day Friday 20th June.
Most of the staff have a certificate in basic first aid but it is only valid for 3 years.
Thus, the Teacher Training Day on 20th June was spent renewing our training.
Most injuries suffered by children at school are as a result of doing
what children do best: taking part in strenuous, exuberant play!
As well as being able to deal with the knocks and bumps of children,
it is important that we recognise signs and symptoms of various childhood ailments.
We also brushed up on our knowledge of dealing with emergency situations such
as concussion and anaphylactic shock. One vital aspect of any first aid course is administering CPR.
